Not (Just) A Bible Study

NABS is a group of people in their twenties and thirties connected to Bloor Street United Church. We first met in January 2011 and since then have tried to balance social and spiritual activities.

The group includes university undergraduate and graduate students, as well as people with non-student jobs. Most of us are relatively new to Bloor Street, and the group continues to expand and change from month to month. Our faith backgrounds range from those who grew up in the United Church to those who grew up in a different denomination to those who are completely new to Christianity. We welcome everyone and hope that the group will continue to evolve to reflect the social and spiritual interests of those who attend.

We meet once or twice each month, with a regular monthly meeting time that follows Sunday worship. The second event is sometimes on weekends, sometimes weeknights, depending on our schedules and the event. Some people are able to come quite regularly to our gatherings and events, while others find that our busy lives get in the way and only come occasionally. Either way, you are invited to follow our blog by email, to keep up to date on upcoming NABS events and reflect on faith questions.

A few highlights include movie nights, planning and leading the Easter Vigil services, and interfaith discussions with Baha'i young adults. For more information about past and future events, see our NABS blog.
