From Garnet Ward, BSUC Chair of Worship:
Most Bloor Streeters now are members of one of six teams that bear the same colours as St. Matthew’s Rainbow Teams. Before long, when we attend in person at St. Matthew’s, we all will find a button with our name on it which we can wear during the service.
The Bloor Streeters are currently meeting in our Colour Teams for discussions about what holds us together as a congregation, even after all the recent changes. With all meeting on Zoom, we’re rediscovering the warmth and unity we knew before the return to in-person services. Eventually we can also include members of both congregations in some discussions.
The teams will be a useful way to organize future discussions on an ad hoc basis, but in the meantime, when attending services in person, we’ll have a great conversation starter with others wearing the same colour buttons. And when we’re ready to join the service duties of St. Matthew’s Rainbow Teams, we’ll know exactly which team we belong to!
If you haven’t received an invitation to a meeting, but would like to be included in a Bloor St. Colour Team, please email Garnet Ward.
