Thank you, David!

After 34+ years as our minister of music/music director, we recognized David Passmore at a retirement celebration ceremony on Sunday, February 5. It was a lively event of speeches, music, and cake!

At the ceremony David was presented with a printout of all the entries – 17 pages worth! – from his virtual card / “kudo board”. David was also gifted with the pooled purse. Thank you to all who contributed! David and his partner Arlene received gifts of a cheese board in the shape of a guitar, a lovely set of cheese knives, several cheeses, packages of crackers, a bottle of organic non-alcoholic wine and grapes.

Thank you to all the singers, soloists, musicians and organizers (Nancy, Bridget, Heather) of Sunday’s ceremony! If you’d like to see the lyrics from David’s ditty, I am the very model of a modern music director, click here (thank you, Heather!)! The lyrics for the Leonard Cohen song are here.

A photo of the cheese board (credit: Nancy Gordon), and other pictures from the day (credit: Harold Durnford), are below!
