The Great Re-Homing


Is there a particular item that has sentimental value to you, or a favorite dish or cup you remember from congregational lunches or meals, you would like as a keepsake once we leave the building?

With the support of staff and volunteers, the Relocation Task Group has compiled a comprehensive inventory of all assets and holdings currently at Bloor Street. Some items are earmarked for the new building and will be put in storage and some will be taken with us on the ‘camping trip’. Other items are up for grabs!

We will be offering a range of items that need to be removed before we can provide vacant possession. These include a variety of artworks, books, pews, chairs, tables, workshop tools and equipment, kitchenware, air conditioning units, dehumidifiers, appliances and fixtures, and a host of other items.

Once the inventory of available items is finalized, we will make known to the congregation exactly what the disposition process will be, including how to schedule a pickup or removal of larger items. In the case of appliances or pews, for example, the recipient will be responsible for the cost of an electrician or covering the craftsmanship of a carpenter, as well as arranging transport.

More details will be forthcoming when we will invite you to help us clear the building – a kind of Spring Cleaning, but in this case Autumn Cleaning. Stay tuned for details via Bloor Broadcast and Sunday announcements.
